How to download PS4 game saves onto PS5

You’ve got PS4 games on PS5, but you need your game saves. No problems! This guide shows you how its done from PlayStation Plus cloud storage or from a USB stick.

Download PS4 PlayStation Plus cloud saves onto PS5

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find Saved Data and Game/App Settings, then Saved Data (PS4)
  3. On the right, click Cloud Storage
  4. Select Download to Console Storage
  5. Select the saves you’d like to move across (or select Select All)
  6. Hit Download to confirm

  1. Insert your USB stick into the PS5
  2. On the PS5, go to Settings
  3. Find Saved Data and Game/App Settings, then Saved Data (PS4)
  4. On the right, click USB Storage
  5. Select Download to Console Storage
  6. Select the saves you’d like to move across (or select Select All)
  7. Hit Download to confirm
