Prey: “Any of the endings” can be considered canon in case of a sequel, says Arkane

“Any” of Prey‘s multiple endings could work as canon if a sequel is made, Arkane’s Raphael Colantonio today told Stevivor.

“I think it’s possible for any of the endings to work,” Colantonio said after we asked which of the game’s multiple endings was considered canon by the studio.

He then paused and flashed a sly smile.

“Somehow.”

This would differ greatly from the likes of Arkane’s Dishonored, in which protagonist Covro Attano can die. That obviously doesn’t work for Dishonored 2, in which Corvo can be selected as the player’s character.

Prey offers players the choice of a female or male protagonist, though both are named Morgan Yu. It stands to reason that same level of choice would be extended to players of a sequel.

Prey heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 5 May.
