Stevivor’s Best Multiplayer Game of 2022

Ghosts it ain't.

We’re almost through the first week of this year’s awards program, and today’s category is Best Multiplayer Game of 2022.

In this category, Stevivor staffers voted and awarded Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 the honour.

Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer package looks to simplify proceedings on the battlefield, while increasing complexity with far deeper weapon customisation off it,” Ben wrote in his review.

“It slows down the combat loop of its predecessor – and considerably more compared to the frantic pace of last year’s Vanguard – to deliver a classic Modern Warfare experience that’s the closest game in years to Call of Duty 4.”

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is now available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5.

Steve's the owner and Editor-in-Chief of Stevivor.com, the country’s leading independent video games outlet. Steve arrived in Australia back in 2001 on what was meant to be a three-month working holiday before deciding to emigrate and, eventually, becoming a citizen.

Stevivor is a combination of ‘Steve’ and ‘Survivor’, which made more sense back in 2001 when Jeff Probst was up in Queensland. The site started as Steve’s travel blog before transitioning over into video games.

Aside from video games, Steve has interests in hockey and Star Trek, playing the former and helping to cover video games about the latter on TrekMovie.com. By day, Steve works as the communications manager of the peak body representing Victorians as they age.
