Rage 2 will target 60 frames per second (FPS) across Windows PC, Xbox One X and PS4, Avalanche Studios has confirmed.
“The game will run at 60 frames per second on PC, Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro,” Chief Production Officer at Avalanche Studios, John Fuller, told Stevivor.
If you’re on the base Xbox One and PS4, Fuller confirmed a target of 30FPS.
“30 frames per second on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is what we are targeting,” Fuller said.
Video game framerates can be an important aspect of fast paced action games like first-person shooters, so it’s good to see that Avalanche has set its sights on 60FPS where possible. Rage 2 is being developed by Avalanche’s own Apex engine, so they’re clearly taking advantage of their know-how.
Resolution details weren’t confirmed at the event.
