Former Naughty Dog staffer returns to work on Uncharted 4 after nine months at Ubisoft

David Ballard was an Environment Artist at Naughty Dog from February 2009 until August 2014. but left to work at Ubisoft as a Senior Environment Artist on a “AAA Next-Gen title” according to his LinkedIn profile.

After 9 months at Ubisoft, Ballard is now back at Naugty Dog working as a Multiplayer Level Designer and Environment Artist, presumably on Uncharted 4. Ballard is a veteran of the series, having worked on Uncharted 2, 3 and previously, as well as working on The Last of Us.

Ballard’s LinkedIn profile only refers to his project at Ubisoft as a “AAA Next-Gen title” so it may be something not yet announced. Ballard’s LinkedIn profile shows that he worked at Ubisoft in San Francisco which is not one of the studios working on Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate.

Perhaps Ubisoft will announce something at E3.
