Original story: Users on Reddit are reporting that you can force a specific Eevee evolution inside Pokémon Go by giving the cute little critter a nickname.
Here’s what you need to nickname Eevee to get him to evolve into the Pokémon you’re after:
- Jolteon: Nickname Sparky
- Vaporeon: Nickname Rainer
- Flareon: Nickname Pyro
- Leafeon: Nickname Linnea
- Glaceon: Nickname Rea
- Espeon: Nickname Sakura
- Umbreon: Nickname Tamao
- Sylveon: Nickname Kira
The above nicknames will only work the one time.
The three original nicknames above are actually the names of the Eevee Brothers, shown in full below.
