How Xbox Game Pass subscribers can cancel Outriders pre-orders

Why buy when you get it as part of your sub?

Now that Outriders has been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass for console and Android streaming, developer People Can Fly has outlined how Xbox players can cancel their existing Outriders pre-orders.

First, physical pre-orders need to be cancelled with the retailer you’ve engaged. If you pre-ordered digitally, you’ll need to go through Xbox’s cancellation system.

To do that, head here and login to Xbox Live. Find Outriders in your order history and hit Cancel (it should be listed under the game’s release date).

For those who’ve paid with a credit card, the funds will be issued back to your card. If you’ve used Microsoft credit to purchase the game, that amount will be refunded back in credit. If attempting to cancel within 10 days of the game’s 1 April release date, you’ll need to speak with an Xbox customer service consultant.

The cancellation of your pre-order means you won’t receive the bonus Hell’s Rangers content pack, but that’s a small price to pay for not having to actually buy the game, eh?

Outriders heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia on 1 April. A demo is available now.
