Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush heading to PlayStation

With more to come?

Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush are two Xbox exclusives making the jump to PlayStation, Microsoft today confirmed.

First, Hi-Fi Rush will head to PlayStation 5 from 20 March here in Australia, with pre-orders available from tomorrow, 23 February.

The unique beat-em-up rhythm title from Tango won both Best Xbox Game of 2023 and Best Audio Design of 2023 in last year’s Stevivor Game of the Year awards program. A previous leak had suggested that the title would also appear on Nintendo Switch, though this has not proven to be the case (at least, not yet).

Next, Rare’s Sea of Thieves will be added to PlayStation 5 from 1 May here in Australia, with pre-orders available from tomorrow, 23 February. The title will support cross-play between all available platforms: Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.

We weren’t so hot on the title back in 2018 at release, but we do acknowledge it’s come a long way since then… and presumably will continue to do so with the PS5 player base added as potential new players.

Microsoft also confirmed that Grounded and Pentiment will also become available on PS4, PS5, and Switch.
