Xbox One S All-Digital Edition rumoured for May

A disc-less Xbox One called the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition is rumoured for a May release, Windows Central has today reported.

The site states that the All-Digital console will be available for pre-order in mid-April for release worldwide in early May. While pricing wasn’t detailed in the report, the initial report of a disc-less drive by Thurrott suggested the console will be approximately $100 USD cheaper without a Blu-ray disc drive.

Microsoft seems to be keen on offering consumers a disc-less Xbox; further next-generation Xbox rumours suggest the company will come out of the starting blocks with two flavours of Xbox, with one an entry-level option and one similar to the Xbox One X. It could very well be the cheaper of the two come without a disc drive.

We’ll keep you informed as we learn more. Microsoft is rumoured to announce its next-gen Xbox at this year’s E3.
