PlayStation no longer in the handheld business, Sony says

The PlayStation Vita will likely be the last Sony handheld console available to consumers, with Sony’s Jack Ryan saying the company is “no longer” in the handheld business.

“PlayStation Vita was brilliant in many ways, and the actual gaming experience was great, but clearly it’s a business that we’re no longer in now,” Ryan, the President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said to GameInformer.

Sony’s focus at the moment is clearly on the next-gen PlayStation 5; already, PS5 dev kits and new DualShock 5 controllers have been spotted in the wild.

Do you wish Sony would make a new handheld console? Why or why not?
