New Resident Evil 2 live-action trailer honours George Romero’s original

A new Resident Evil 2 live-action trailer has paid homage to one made by George A. Romero for the game’s original, 1998 release.

Before we get to the new one, let’s take a quick look at the old ones, starring Apt Pupil‘s Brad Renfro as Leon S. Kennedy and directed by Romero, famous for kickstarting the zombie genre with Night of the Living Dead.

With those out of the way, here’s the new live-action trailer. Notice any differences?

Just the perfect amount of hokey, eh?

The new live-action segment was produced by UK creative agency SpecialGun Productions.

Resident Evil 2 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. We reviewed the game here and have a series of guides you can access here.
