Microsoft to end Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox refund scheme on 6 July

Time to jump in?

Microsoft will end a Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox refund scheme on 6 July, following the news that the beleaguered title is once again available digitally on the PlayStation Store for PS4.

“The team at CD Projekt RED continues to work hard to improve the experience of Cyberpunk 2077 for Xbox players and has made a number of updates,” Microsoft said in an update.

“Given these updates, Microsoft will be returning to our standard digital game refund policy for Cyberpunk 2077 on July 6 for both new and existing purchases.”

Back in December 2020, Microsoft offered a refund to anyone who’d purchased Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One (also playable on Xbox Series consoles) due to worries players would not be “able to get the experience they expect on Xbox”.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. It’s backwards compatible on Xbox Series S & X and PS5.
