Mario meets Minecraft in latest Wii U update

Minecraft: Wii U Edition‘s “Super Mario Mash-Up Pack” is, as Nintendo describes it, “a match made in block-shaped heaven.”

From 18 May, the free game update will combined two beloved franchises for the very first time. Players on Wii U will be able to take on Mario‘s Hammer Bros. and Dry Bones alongside Minecraft‘s iconic Creepers.

The free update includes new skins, a Super Mario-themed pre-made world and Mario-themed music and item textures.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition is available now on — you guessed it — Wii U.
