The Game Awards expanded broadcast, fan voting detailed

The Game Awards today detailed its expanded broadcast availability alongside the opportunity for fans to vote in a number of categories.

Streaming from Los Angeles on 7 December, the awards show will be accessible in China via QQ.com. Other broadcast partners include Live distribution partners for 2017 include AfreecaTV (South Korea), Facebook, GameSpot, KakaoTV (South Korea), IGN, NicoNico (Japan), Mixer, PlayStation Store, Steam, Tencent (China), Twitch, Twitter, UOL Jogos (Brazil), Xbox Live, YouTube (in 4K Ultra HD), with more to be announced.

“The Game Awards unites the global gaming community, no matter who you are, where you live, or what type of video games you enjoy,” said The Game Awards’ Geoff Keighley.

Fans will also be able to vote in select categories from 14 November, the day nominations are announced. Fans can vote via TheGameAwards.com or simply by typing “The Game Awards voting” into Google, a partner of the awards itself. Voting can also be done by Facebook Messenger or Twitter Direct Message.

Finally, The Game Awards Sale will return on the PlayStation Store, Steam, Xbox Live and other platforms. More information on the sale itself will be offered in early December.
