Evil Dead’s Ash is going to be in Mortal Kombat 11 (surprise!)

It looks like Evil Dead‘s Ash will be a playable character inside Mortal Kombat 11, despite Ash’s actor Bruce Campbell quashing the rumours a while back.

Dataminers found reference to a DLC character by the name of Ash way back in April 2019, leading many to believe it to be Ashley Williams, the protagonist of the Evil Dead franchise and the recent Ash vs Evil Dead television show.

Campbell, who’s portrayed Ash in a number of films and said TV show, said he wouldn’t be voicing Ash back in May 2019.

Now that we’re all caught up, a new email from Warner Bros. seems to have outed Ash’s addition, posting a disclaimer about the character and its ownership by MGM Studios. You can see it via Twitter below.

We don’t know about you, but we’re excited for Ash and hope Campbell gets to return to voice him as well. We’ll have more about the character as it becomes available.

Mortal Kombat 11 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch.
