Destiny 2 Titan Skating will be nerfed soon, Bungie says

Destiny 2 Titan Skating will be nerfed on PC, Bungie has recently announced.

For those unaware, Titan Skating is achieved on PC using continued activation of the space bar (usually via a macro) and allows a Titan to essentially skate through the air using the Catapult Lift jump ability (and optional Lion Rampant Exotic armor piece). Bungie’s now announced that it will nerf the popular move to better balance the game.

In a fix coming with patch 2.2.0, Titan Skating won’t be removed entirely, but will be “just less excessive,” Bungie confirmed. The developer says the move creates “an unfair advantage when it comes to the fundamentals of combat gameplay like aiming, positioning, and even networking to some degree” and will be adjusted accordingly.

Bungie added that a fix has been so late — after all, the move’s been possible since the game’s 2017 release — was because care was made to nerf the move “without impacting general movement for the Titan class.”

Destiny 2 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
