A Destiny 2 Halo crossover looks extremely likely

Battle Rifles, Carbine Rifles and Needlers -- oh my!

Destiny 2 Halo crossover looks extremely likely, assumedly timed for the 30th anniversary of Bungie, the creator of both franchises.

Promotional images for the 30th Anniversary bundle — which alongside its upcoming Witch Queen expansion has previously sparked concerns by Destiny 2 fans over pricing and content gating — have recently been updated to include Halo-themed weaponry and armor.

Of note in the image above is a Needler-inspired shoulder piece (on the Titan) alongside a Halo itself as worn on the Warlock. Another image, below, shows what appears to be a Battle Rifle (far-left Guardian) and a Carbine Rifle (far-right player, Bronzed Titan in centre).

While Bungie created Halo, the IP itself is owned by Microsoft (hence 343 Industries and Halo Infinite); if these items appear, they might be in physical appearance only and not in name. Either way, we’ve not got long to find out — the 30th Anniversary bundle becomes available next week.

Destiny 2 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia.
