Destiny 2 armour transmog, cross-play coming soon

Transmog is dated for Season 14, and cross-play for 2021.

Destiny 2 will add armour transmog in Season 14 and cross-play between all available platforms in 2021, developer Bungie has recently announced.

As part of a lengthy update, Bungie’s Joe Blackburn wrote that “Transmog will be coming with Season 14.”

For those unfamiliar with the the term, the functionality will essentially let players choose the visual apperance of their armour. The benefit of the feature is that you can equip gear with the best stats for your playstyle without having to compromise when it comes to your overall appearance.

With the promise of “more details to come,” two screens showing how transmog could potentially work were also included. They both below.

In the same update, Blackburn also confirmed that cross-play will be added next year. A specific timeframe (nor season) was not detailed. Back in June 2019, Bungie said it was “interested” in implementing cross-play.

Destiny 2 Beyond Light is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia.
