Dead by Daylight fixes coming soon, more Bloodpoints offered

And players that big issues won't be fixed before the end of the game's 5th anniversary event.

Dead by Daylight performance fixes are coming soon, developer Behaviour Interactive today declared at the same time it awarded players with more Bloodpoints in compensation.

“We have fixes coming for the most significant performance issues, slated for 7/27,” a tweet from the studio declared. “We are working on further improvements for future updates.”

Behaviour also advised that any player who logs in between now and 27 July will be awarded with an extra 300,000 Bloodpoints and 3,000 Shards as a means of apology.

While players are happy to receive those additional Bloodpoints, most are frustrated that performance issues will not be fixed before the game’s 5th anniversary event — one that generally awards far more Bloodpoints than usual — concludes. A majority of complaints about performance issues appear to be coming from players on Xbox One and PS4.

“So last gen console players had an entire event where they couldn’t even play? This is slated after the event ends?” wrote one player.

Gonna need more than that for our console Fam as they can’t properly earn bloodpoints in each category due to all the lag spiking, rubberbanding, & disconnects,” wrote another. “They’ve been getting ripped off for over a month now.”

“Leaving the game almost unplayable for around half of players… the entire duration between a DLC drop and a rift drop?” wrote another. “And I bet ya’ll still won’t consider console PTBs? Also, optimise your game. There’s no excuse for it to be this bad and at this point ya’ll are laughable.”

Dead by Daylight is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch. Its 5th anniversary event runs until 22 July.
