Battlefield 5 confirmed locales include Norway, France, the Netherlands and Africa

During today’s Battlefield 5 briefing, Senior Producer Andreas Morell confirmed a handful of locations that will feature in the game.

Morell said the game will “take you to unexpected locations around the globe,” then offering a handful of examples.

“We’ll take you north of the Arctic circle in Norway. You’ll be battling across the French countryside as you face the full force of Germany mechanised armour moving across Europe,” he said. “You’ll feel the ruggedness and the heart of the North African desert.”

The Netherlands was also confirmed as a location via an explanation of the Grand Operations system.

Through each of the game’s major modes and the constant rollout of new content through The Tides of War system, it’s likely we’ll also see action (perhaps eventually) in locales like London, Berlin and other major locales where battles or events took place in World War II.

Battlefield 5 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 no later than 19 October.
