Alien: Isolation’s “Safe Haven” introduces one-life Salvage mode

Sega has revealed details of Alien: Isolation’s third add-on, “Safe Haven.”

“Safe Haven” introduces players to Hughes, Sevastopol’s Station’s Communications Manager who finds himself trapped in a safe room. His only means of escape are by completing ten challenges with each getting him one step closer to freedom.

Sega promises that Salvage mode “will require the utmost stealth and skill as Hughes confronts the station’s life-threatening challenges – a crumbling environment and the toughest foes – as he works to restore communications and get away.”

Players have only one life in Salvage mode and dying means returning to the last completed challenge, which in turn affects the final score.

“Safe Haven” is available now for PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One and will be available for PS3 and PS4 tomorroe (15 January 2015). It is included as part of the game’s season pass or available separately for $7.99 USD on Steam and $10.65 AUD on Xbox. PlayStation pricing TBD.
