Resident Evil 2 Treasure Hunter guide: Find hidden items

Resident Evil 2 is out now and Stevivor’s got you covered with a series of guides. This one’s all about the Treasure Hunter Record, tasking you to find 2 hidden items using photo hints.

Spoilers lie ahead. Let’s get to it!

How to find the Treasure Hunter photo hints

The photo hints come from a single file, obtained through a Roll Film located in the Sewers’ Workroom (Upper).

Develop the film at the Police Station Darkroom (1F) to receive the hints.

Hiding Place 1

The first photo hint shows Wesker’s Desk in the S.T.A.R.S. Office (2F). Once you’ve developed the film, a prompt should appear when you revisit the location.

The secret stash contains a Wooden Box that contains a Red Dot Sight (Lightning Hawk) for Leon and a High-Capacity Mag. (MQ 11) for Claire.

Bonus: Since you’re already at Wesker’s Desk, be sure to check the action point a second time (you won’t get a prompt, but trust us) to get a special hidden Roll Film that not only counts toward the Dark Times, Dark Room Record but also is a pretty sweet Easter egg.

Hiding Place 2

The second photo shows a desk drawer in the Press Room (1F). A prompt will appear when you’ve developed the film.

This stash contains Fuel for Leon’s Chemical Flamethrower and Needle Cartridges for Claire’s Spark Shot.

Resident Evil 2 is out now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
