Introduction

Welcome to The Last of Us Part 2! You’ll definitely need to play this game into a second playthrough, so it’s up to you if you’d like to crank up (or down) the difficulty on your first go.

Most Trophies are related to upgrades and collectibles, though some hidden Trophies require you to complete mini-games. You can choose to focus on the collectibles and hidden Trophies in your first playthrough or leave them until your second, but always be mindful of scavenging for supplements and weapon parts to upgrade yourself and your weaponry. The second playthrough is required because there aren’t enough supplements and upgrades to fully upgrade everything on the first go.

Collectibles can be found using a Chapter select as well, so keep that in mind.

Trophies and guides

  • Journeyman (Silver): Find all training manuals
  • Survival Training (Silver): Learn 25 player upgrades
    • Ellie and Abby each have 25 player upgrades, so you’ll get this at the halfway point to unlocking the Survival Expert (Gold) Trophy.
  • High Calibre (Silver): Find all weapons
  • In the Field (Silver): Find 12 workbenches
    • You will get this before the halfway point of unlocking the Prepared for the Worst (Gold) Trophy.
  • Tools of the Trade (Bronze): Craft every item
    • You’ll find more recipes as you progress. Ellie and Abby can both craft health kits, silencers and melee upgrades. Ellie can make molotovs, stun bombs, trap mines, arrows and explosive arrows. Abby can make pipe bombs, shivs, incendiary shells, and hunting pistol ammo.
  • Tinkerer (Bronze): Upgrade a weapon
    • You will get this on the way to unlocking the Arms Master (Gold) Trophy.
  • Apprentice (Bronze): Learn a player upgrade
    • You’ll get this on the way to unlocking the Survival Expert (Gold) Trophy.
  • Starter Set (Bronze): Find 5 trading cards
    • You’ll get this on the way to unlocking the Master Set (Gold) Trophy.
  • Mint Condition (Bronze): Find 5 coins
    • You’ll get this on the way to unlocking the Numismatist (Gold) Trophy.
  • Looks Good on You (Bronze): Put a hat on your companion
    • This is unlocked during the Seattle Day 1 – The Birthday Gift chapter. You need to grab a hat from the gift shop and then put it on two dinosaurs in the ground floor of the museum before you get a prompt to place it on Joel.

  • Sharpshooter (Bronze): Win the marksmanship competition
    • This is unlocked during the Seattle Day 1 (Abby) – The Stadium chapter. Near the end, you can visit a shooting range mini-game. Beat Manny’s score (83 on light) and you’re golden — get perfect body shots and this shouldn’t be a problem.

  • Put My Name Up (Bronze): Earn the high score in the archery game
    • This is unlocked during the Seattle Day 1 (Abby) – Winter Visit chapter. You’ll be able to pick up a nerf bow and arrow and shoot at targets to take the top spot on the leaderboard. You’ll need at least 11 targets hit in this mini-game.

The Last of Us Part 2 is a PS4 exclusive available from today, 19 June.
