Destiny 2 Scour the Rust Iron Banner quest guide

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep‘s first Iron Banner event is on now and this guide is all about its major quest, Scour the Rust.

Here’s what you’ll need to do to complete it:

Scour the Rust: Spectacle

To start, head to Lord Saladin in the Tower — he’s above the Gunsmith in his fancy Iron Banner area. Get Scour the Rust from him and get to work on the following:

  • Capture 10 Iron Banner points
  • Kill 30 enemy Guardians
  • Get 3 kills with your Super

You’ll be rewarded with the Claws of the Wolf Pulse Rifle upon completion.

Scour the Rust: Intent

You’ll get the next bit of the quest automatically. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Complete 6 Iron Banner matches
  • Capture 20 Iron Banner points
  • Kill 25 Guardians with a Pulse Rifle

You’ll be rewarded with Iron Banner gauntlets for completing this portion.

Scour the Rust: Timing

Again, you’ll get this automatically.

  • Defeat 100 Guardians
  • Capture 30 Iron Banner zones
  • Defeat 20 Guardians with Fusion Rifles

Scour the Rust: Execution

You get the drill by now.

  • Eliminate 15 Guardians with your Super
  • Eliminate 15 Guardians with an SMG
  • Capture 40 Iron Banner zones

Scour the Rust: Conviction

  • Capture 50 Iron Banner zones
  • Complete 15 Iron Banner matches
  • Kill 10 Guardians with an SMG (not the specified Grenade Launcher)

Scour the Rust: Forgeborn

Now head to Ada-1 — KIDDING. You’re almost done — head back to Lord Saladin to complete the quest all together. Turn in your host of Iron Banner tokens too, eh?

Destiny 2 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
