Xbox One February preview introduces Game Hubs

Xbox One’s February system update preview is now live for the lucky members of the preview program. The update brings with it a bunch of new features with the most interesting being Game Hubs.

Game Hubs are — as they’re named — a hub for every game on the console where users can explore content related to said game. By visiting specific Game Hubs, players will be able to see who, of their friends, is playing, where they stand in leaderboards, view recorded game clips and check out VIP players. Game Hubs are accessible by pressing the Menu button while highlighting a game and selecting “View Game Hub.”

In addition to Game Hubs, the update adds transparent tiles so that players background images are more visible.

A huge swathe of TV related updates has also been introduced including OneGuide functionality in the Netherlands, TV trending in countries with OneGuide, improved compatibility with set-top boxes and streaming to Windows Phone and Android for “Xbox One Digital TV Tuner owners in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.”

While the TV updates don’t affect Australian Xbox One users, Game Hubs certainly sounds like an appealing addition.

Anybody in the preview program have an experience to share?
