Xbox Cloud Gaming gets mouse and keyboard support on PC

That's excellent!

Xbox Cloud Gaming will add keyboard and mouse support for those playing on PC, and Xbox Insiders can try out the functionality right now.

“Xbox Insiders can preview Mouse and Keyboard support while playing via cloud gaming on supported browsers (Edge and Chrome) and the Xbox App on Windows PCs for users enrolled in the PC Gaming Preview,” Microsoft said in an update.

The functionality is open to Alpha Skip-Ahead users as part of an Xbox Update Preview.

Supported titles include first-party titles Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Halo Infinite, Gears Tactics, Pentiment, Age of Empires 4 alongside third-party affairs like Fortnite, Ark Survival Evolved, Atomic Heart, Deep Rock Galactic and more.

Microsoft also advised that “[s]ome games will display controller UI elements (e.g., “press A to start”) by default,” but that UI will “adapt to Mouse & Keyboard input only after [a] player has started to use Mouse/Keyboard to interact with the game”. Or, standard stuff for a PC player.

We’ll let you know when the functionality gets a wider release. Xbox Cloud Gaming is available through the Xbox App on PC or via browser on your device of choice; Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is required to take advantage of the feature.
