Ubisoft has already banned up to 400 players cheating in For Honor, and has a zero tolerance policy for those planning to do so in the future.
For Honor uses the EasyAntiCheat program to ban those who are hacking, cheating or being offensive in the game. Already, 70 people have been banned for breaking the title’s code of conduct by using offensive language.
“After being flagged by EasyAntiCheat, suspect accounts are reviewed by the development team, which then hands out warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans against identified players,” Ubisoft has said on the Ubisoft Blog.
“These bans are applied on an account level, not at the hardware level. Fairness is hugely important to the game’s creators, so bans are being handed out to first-time offenders.
“Players who believe they’ve been erroneously penalized can also appeal their bans.”
Ubisoft has recently released an update to the PC version of the game, fixing EasyAntiCheat error messaging notifications.
For Honor is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. We gave it a glowing 9/10 review.
