Smash Bros. sales surpass 900,000 during day one in Japan

Yesterday we reported that Super Smash Bros. had sold over 1 million copies in its first week on sale in Japan. Now we can reveal (thanks to Gematsu) that Nintendo’s brawler sold 944,644 units on its first day alone.

Smash’s release also saw a boost in 3DS, 3DS XL and 3DS LL (New 3DS) sales. Regular 3DS and 3DS XL sales reached 7,967 units sold and 3DS LL sales hit 31,602 units.

Super Smash Bros. will be available for 3DS 4 October and for Wii U in November, maybe.
