No Man’s Sky: All PS4 Trophy and associated Milestones guide

No Man’s Sky‘s Milestones are all-important, tying into PS4 Achievements.

Below is a listing of all of the Trophies and their Milestone requirements.

Uploaded Discoveries Milestones and Trophies

Galapagos (Gold Trophy)

“Attain ‘Encyclopedia’ status in Uploaded Discoveries”

  • Requirement: ‘Encyclopeda’ status requires a player to scan all alien lifeforms from 10 planets, then upload those discoveries.
  • Lifeforms are scanned by the L2 button on your controller. Each full planet scanned contributes to the ‘Planet Zoology’ Milestone set.

  • Working toward the Galapagos Trophy will also earn you A Scanner Darkly (Bronze) and The Star Beast (Silver) Trophies.

Units Accrued Milestones and Trophies

The Diamond Age (Gold Trophy)

“Attain ‘Magnate’ status in Most Units Accrued”

Words Collected Milestones and Trophies

Citizen of the Galaxy (Gold Trophy)

“Attain ‘Babelfish’ status in Words Collected”

  • Requirement: ‘Babelfish’ status requires a player learn 150 alien words.
  • You can learn words by discovering Monoliths, scanning Knowledge Stones and speaking with NPCs at various locations. Each word contributes to the ‘Words Collected’ Milestone set.

  • Working towards the Babelfish Trophy will also earn you Babel-17 (Bronze) and The Languages of Pao (Silver) Trophies.

Space Exploration Milestones and Trophies

A Space Odyssey (Gold Trophy)

“Attain ‘Discoverer’ status in Space Exploration”

  • Requirement: ‘Discoverer’ status requires a player to use their Hyperdrive 60 times.
  • Each hyperdrive jump — which requires one Warp Cell to go from one system to the next — contributes to the ‘Space Exploration’ Milestone set.
  • You can also dupe Warp Cells for fast movements between systems using this exploit.
  • Working towards the A Space Odyssey Trophy will also earn you The Stars, The Dust (Bronze) and The Longest Voyage (Silver) Trophies.

Alien Colonist Encounters Milestones and Trophies

What Mad Universe (Gold Trophy)

“Attain ‘Ambassador’ status in Alien Colonist Encounters”

  • Requirement: ‘Ambassador’ status requires a player encounter 40 advanced alien species.
  • You can find aliens upon Space Stations, Bases, Manufacturing Facilities and other, similar locations. Each alien you encounter contributes to the ‘Alien Colonist Encounters’ Milestone set.
  • Working towards the What Mad Universe Trophy will also earn you Contact (Bronze) and Who Goes There? (Silver) Trophies.

Ships Destroyed Milestones and Trophies

The Forever War (Gold)

“Attain ‘Legend’ status in Ships Destroyed”

  • Requirement: ‘Legend’ status requires a player to destroy 80 starships.
  • You can encounter enemy ships via distress calls, or prompt four fighters to attack you by attacking cargo ships. Dozens of fighters can be prompted by attacking Space or Atlas Stations.
  • Working towards the The Forever War Trophy will also earn you Use of Weapons (Bronze) and Pattern for Conquest (Silver) Trophies.

Extreme Survival Milestones and Trophies

The Sentinel (Gold)

Attain ‘Everlasting’ status in Longest Lifespan

  • Requirement: ‘Everlasting’ status requires a player to survive through 32 sols in Extreme conditions.
  • One sol is a single day/night cycle, in-game. One cycle takes around 25 minutes of real-world time.

  • Working towards The Sentinel Trophy will also earn you the Stranger in a Strange Land (Silver) Trophy.

On-foot Exploration Milestones and Trophies

Have Spacesuit – Will Travel (Gold):

“Attain ‘Adventurer’ status in On-foot Exploration”

  • Requirement: ‘Adventurer’ status requires a player travel 100,000 steps total, on-foot.
  • On-foot means your ship doesn’t count. You need to be walking.
  • Working towards the Have Spacesuit — Will Travel Trophy will also earn you the Symphony for a Lost Traveller (Silver) Trophy.
