Evolve progress on Xbox One may reset when switching between multiple consoles

This is honestly a problem I hope is exclusive to myself.

I own three Xbox Ones; two at home and one at work. Rough life, right? They’re all connected to the Internet and all are in the Preview Program. I was also lucky enough to get a pre-release code for Evolve to review.

Over the weekend, I played myriad of matches in multiplayer and single-player on one of my Xbox Ones to be able to review the game. I got up to about level 16 or 17, off the top of my head.

Today, I went to work and tried to play Evolve on another Xbox One console to check its online experience. I found that my progress had been reset — I was again level one, and moreover, had to set screen boundaries and go through initial tutorials. It was like I’d never played the game.

I thought this may just be an Xbox cloud sync issue, so I played for an hour or two at work and got up to about level five or so before finishing up for the day.

When I got back home and turned Evolve on back on the original console, my progress had yet again reset.

I’ve since confirmed the same behaviour going back and forth between the two Xbox One consoles I have at home. My progress is recorded just fine on one console, and can be accessed time and time again when using that console exclusively. But, when going a different console, I get wiped.

I’ve made a video to demonstrate the problem. I have no idea why the sound goes wonky at the end, and I apologise for that. I’m a lover writer, not a video dude.

Yeah, I said “prosperity”. I’m not sure why. I meant “posterity”.

Anyways, here’s a summary of my issue and the conditions its been replicated under:

  • I’ve three Xbox Ones; all three are in the Preview Program
  • I received an Evolve pre-order digital code and early unlock
  • I associated my Evolve account with My2K
  • Everytime I change console, my Evolve stats and progress are wiped
  • I’ve been able to choose from any of the three Hunter classes from the moment I play the game
  • Even though my progress is wiped between consoles, my selected badge (avatar?) remains, even though I technically have yet to unlock badge elements due to the nature of my wiped save

Is this a problem with My2K? Evolve servers? The Xbox cloud? I don’t know.

Is anyone else in the same boat? I’d love to hear from you, especially if you’re console swapping with zero problem.
