Stevivor's Friendly Fire Show

Is Dead Space better than the Resident Evil remakes?

Welcome to Friendly Fire Show 227!

Ben and Steve return to talk remakes, remasters and delays. More importantly, can Dead Space hold a candle to Resident Evil 2?

Welcome to Friendly Fire Show 227, Stevivor’s long-running weekly video games podcast!

Here’s what our show covered this week:

Welcome

  • (0:00) Steve’s waist is expanding as Ben tightens his belt… though not without a bug-a-salt.

Holidays games chat

  • (5:00) Did Ben and Steve get to their backlogs over the holiday December 2022 to January 2023 break?

Dead Space (again!)

Hi-Fi Rush (again!)

  • (20:00) …and time to talk more Hi-Fi Rush too.
  • (Spoilers: Steve loved it.)

This week in delays

About the author

Ben Salter

Ben has been writing about games in a professional capacity since 2008. He even did it full-time for a while, but his mum never really understood what that meant. He's been part of the Stevivor team since 2016. You will find his work across all sections of the site (if you look hard enough).

About the author

Steve Wright

Steve's the owner and Editor-in-Chief of Stevivor.com, the country’s leading independent video games outlet. Steve arrived in Australia back in 2001 on what was meant to be a three-month working holiday before deciding to emigrate and, eventually, becoming a citizen.

Stevivor is a combination of ‘Steve’ and ‘Survivor’, which made more sense back in 2001 when Jeff Probst was up in Queensland. The site started as Steve’s travel blog before transitioning over into video games.

Aside from video games, Steve has interests in hockey and Star Trek, playing the former and helping to cover video games about the latter on TrekMovie.com. By day, Steve works as the communications manager of the peak body representing Victorians as they age.
