Yooka-Laylee aiming to match the size and scope of its inspirations

Playtonic Games has taken to Reddit for an AMA, focusing on their Banjo-Kazooie inspired platformer Yooka-Laylee. It’s an interesting read for both stories of the developers days at Rare and for some hints at their plans for Yooka-Laylee.

One important revelation is that now their Kickstarter funding has vastly exceeded their goal they plan to make the game just as big as its inspirations. Whether they plan to stuff it as full of collectibles remains to be seen, but extra funding to the tune of 1.8m GBP (with 11 days remaining in the campaign) will be put to good use.
