Xbox Series X release date isn’t Thanksgiving like listing suggested

The Xbox Series X release date is still “holiday 2020” and not Thanksgiving as an erroneous listing suggested, Microsoft today asserted.

“An Xbox product page in some regions inaccurately listed the launch date for Xbox Series X as Thanksgiving 2020,” Microsoft’s Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb said in a tweet. “We are committed to launching Holiday 2020.”

A Microsoft representative issued Stevivor with the same advice, saying “Xbox Series X will be available Holiday 2020 alongside Halo Infinite.”

While we don’t have an exact date as yet — and Microsoft isn’t prepared to give one — we’d still wager we’ll see the Xbox Series X sometime in November. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more of its launch alongside that of the PS5.

We’ve compared the PS5’s specs to the Xbox Series X’s specs here.
