Xbox Series X quick resume feature works after a reboot

The Xbox Series X will quick resume games even after the console has been rebooted, Xbox’s Larry Hryb has confirmed.

“I had to reboot because I had a system update, and then I went back to the game and went right back to it,” Hryb said in the latest episode of his long-running podcast. “So it survives a reboot.”

While the current Xbox One can resume a single game after a user jumps back to the Home screen or into an app, the Xbox Series X will be able to quick resume multiple games.

The Xbox Series X heads to store shelves later this year; a price has not yet been detailed by Microsoft.
