Xbox One X hotel to open in Sydney for a limited time

An Xbox One X hotel will be offered for a limited time in Sydney to give fans early access to the powerful new console.

Called Xbox Stay ‘n Play, the Pirrama Park, Pyrmont-based structure will be available for two-hour or overnight bookings between 3-5 November. The temporary hotel will have four main suites, each themed after a different game; Forza Motorsport 7, Assassin’s Creed: Origins and Minecraft suites have already been confirmed.

Overnight bookings, offered between 8pm and 8am, will offer a chance to play a range of games on Xbox One X. The bookings also include concierge and room service, super-sized 4K, HDR TVs, Dolby Atmos sound systems and, of course, Xbox Onesies.

Reservations for Xbox Stay ‘n Play are open now; you can (attempt) to book via Eventbrite.

“Much like the One X, we’ve designed the Stay n’ Play to give players the most immersive gaming experience possible,” said Business Group Lead at Xbox Australia, Jeremy Hinton.

“Each room has been designed with our fans in mind. We hope the experience gives them the chance to experience true 4K gaming in a genuinely unique environment, days before the product is available in stores.”

Take heart — if you can’t manage a booking, the Stay ‘n Play lobby will also offer up the chance to try out the Xbox One X.

The Xbox One X is available from 7 November. You can already begin the download of 4K assets for certain titles if you play to upgrade.
