Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family branding spotted by leaker

No need to lie about who's in your family?

Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family branding has been discovered by a longtime accurate leaker, seemingly tied to a trial currently offered in select regions.

As we reported at the beginning of this month, Microsoft is trialling a “family” plan in both Colombia and Ireland, which provides up to five different accounts the benefits of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

“This makes it even easier to play the best Game Pass games with friends and family across console, PC, and cloud by enabling you to add up to four people to your subscription, all with their own unique access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate games, content, and benefits,” Microsoft said at the time.

This new branding doubles down on the fact that players within the same region will be able to group up and share benefits, regardless of familiar relation.

The Friends & Family tier will be priced higher than an individual subscription — for obvious reasons — though final pricing and global availability has yet to be revealed.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family.
