Xbox first-party showcase an “hour long” and “focused on games

Next week’s Xbox first-party showcase of games for the Xbox Series X will be an hour-long affair that focuses solely on games, Microsoft Aaron Greenberg has confirmed.

“I know everyone is excited for Xbox Games Showcase next Thursday. Seen some wild expectations so if helpful this show has one focus, games,” Greenberg wrote on Twitter.

“No business, devices or similar news, just games. A whole show about hour long focused on games. Hope you enjoy it!”

We already know we’ll see something of Halo Infinite alongside more from some of Microsoft’s first-party studios including Double Fine and Obsidian. Rumoured are a Perfect Dark reimaging from The Coalition alongside a Fable game from Forza Horizon‘s Playground Games.

The Xbox first-party showcase kicks off at 2.00 am AEST on 24 July; a pre-show with Geoff Keighley kicks off an hour before the main event, from 1.00 am AEST on 24 July. The show will be broadcast on both Twitch and YouTube (but not Mixer).
