Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 detailed at E3 2019

Microsoft today detailed the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 at its E3 2019 press conference.

“The Elite Series 2 is the second iteration of the fan-favorite Xbox Elite Wireless Controller and is re-engineered for ultimate performance, customization, and durability, and includes 30 new and improved features such as adjustable-tension thumbsticks, wraparound rubberized grip, shorter hair-trigger locks, and up to 40 hours of rechargeable battery life,” Microsoft said in a press release.

The Elite Series 2 will launch in 24 markets from 4 November and is priced at $179.99 USD/£159.99 GPB/€179.99 EUR. Pre-orders are available now. We’ll work on Aussie availability today — but at $179 USD, it’s not going to be cheap here in Australia.

Update: The controller is available in Australia at launch — pre-orders will be taken here — and priced at a whopping $249.95 AUD. Better start saving.

Are you excited about the second iteration of the Xbox Wireless Elite Controller? Why or why not?

With Bluetooth capabilities, the new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 will work across Windows PC, Xbox One and other devices.
