Xbox Developer Direct 2024 coming mid-January, showing Indiana Jones

... alongside a host of other titles including Avowed, Senua's Saga Hellblade 2 and more!

The first Xbox Developer Direct for 2024 is coming on 19 January here in Australia, showing off titles including Indiana Jones, Avowed, Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 and more.

The direct will take place starting 7.00 am AEDT on 19 January here in Australia (or check your timezone here), and will run for an hour at most. From 8.00 am AEDT on the same day, an Elder Scrolls Online presentation will reveal the MMORPG’s next installment.

Xbox has promised a ten-minute look at MachineGames’ Indiana Jones game, including a first look at gameplay. That’ll be followed by a deep dive into Obsidian’s Avowed, a look at gameplay for Oxide Games’ Ara History Untold, and some behind-the-scenes action focused on Ninja Theory’s Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2.

Microsoft has also clarified that we won’t see anything from the newly acquired Activision Blizzard; we’ll have to wait later into 2024 for news on that front.

Indiana Jones was announced back in January of 2021 and has since been confirmed as an Xbox console exclusive. It’s from MachineGames, the developer behind the most recent Wolfenstein releases by Bethesda.

Avowed is the next big RPG from Obsidian (Fallout New Vegas, The Outer Worlds), and showed off some gameplay last year.

Hellblade 2 was most recently shown off at The Game Awards 2023 and is targeting a 2024 release — maybe we’ll get a release date at this event?

Which of the above titles are you most excited to see? Sound off in the comments area, below.
