Xbox Cloud Gaming PC, iOS access available in 22 countries

No, not Australia. Yet.

Xbox Cloud Gaming PC and iOS access is now available to the 22 countries that support the streaming service, Microsoft has today confirmed.

“Starting today, Xbox Cloud Gaming is available to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members with Windows 10 PCs and Apple phones and tablets, via browser, across 22 countries,” Microsoft’s Catherine Gluckstein said on Xbox Wire.

“If you’re a member or want to become a member, simply go to xbox.com/play on Microsoft Edge, Chrome, or Safari on your PC or mobile device to start playing hundreds of games from the Xbox Game Pass library.”

The news comes at the same time that Microsoft has confirmed that it has indeed swapped out older blades for Xbox Series X ones.

“We’ve been upgrading Microsoft datacenters around the globe with the fastest, most powerful Xbox hardware to give you faster load times, improved frame rates, and an experience of a new generation of gaming,” Gluckstein continued. “To ensure the lowest latency, highest quality experience across the broadest set of devices, we will be streaming at 1080p and up to 60fps.”

Users had been noticing performance boosts earlier in the month.

Sadly, Australia isn’t one of the 22 supported countries. The full list is as follows:

  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Canada
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • France
  • Germany
  • Hungary
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Slovakia
  • Spain
  • South Korea
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

Australia is currently in the middle of an xCloud trial on Android, though Microsoft has promised that Xbox Cloud Gaming proper will be in the country before the end of the year.
