Windows 10: Microsoft’s HoloLens wants to put Minecraft throughout your living room

At their Windows 10 event today, Microsoft unveiled its HoloLens wearable device.

Microsoft is calling the device “a revolutionary example of how Windows 10 enables a shift from the traditional machine-centric view of computing to an interaction that is much more personal and humanistic.” Windows 10 will include a set of APIs that enable developers to create holographic experiences in the real world.

Sure, there are business applications for the device, but in Microsoft’s HoloLens announcement video, there are also gaming ones too. Like Minecraft in your living room. Check it out:

Microsoft’s Kudo Tsunoda is working with the HoloLens team. Tsunoda also headed development on Kinect for Xbox 360.

As an aside, it looks a bit like the now-failed Google Glass, don’t you think?
