A Way Out isn’t making EA “a single dollar,” says dev

A Way Out but don’t think much of publisher EA, we have news you might want to hear. Apparently, EA “is not making a single dollar,” out of the game, according to Hazelight’s Josef Fares.

“Here’s the thing, and you have to understand this: with this deal that I have for this game, EA is not making a single dollar out of this,” Fares told The Sixth Axis.

“Every single dollar is going to the developer. They’re not even making any money and all I’ve got is support from EA.

“They’ve not questioned the vision – they can’t because I won’t allow it – so they’ve been super supportive all the way. Even with this buy one [Friend Pass] thing, no problem.”

A Way Out is part of the EA Originals program, dedicated to “taking first-time experiences that are unique, gorgeous, innovative and memorable, and bringing them to the world.”

If you need even more reason to consider a purchase, remember that two friends can only online co-op using a single copy of the game. The title also supports good ol’ couch co-op too.

A Way Out heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 23 March.
