Walking sim Death Stranding PS5 release coming soon

'Cause why not?

A Death Stranding PS5 release was today confirmed by Hideo Kojima, coming “soon” to Sony’s current-gen console.

Speaking with Summer Game Fest’s Geoff Keighley, Kojima said he would have more to share about the release in the next few weeks.

Moreover, a teaser trailer for the title — one already availalble on Windows PC and PS4 — was released. It’s below.

Astute readers will remember that we didn’t care for Death Stranding, calling it “dead on arrival.”

“Even if Death Stranding’s narrative was good — and it’s not — a game needs to have actual gameplay,” I wrote. “What you find within is abysmal; frustrating, tedious and beyond repair.”

Death Stranding is currently available on Windows PC and PS4 and will head to PS5 later in the year.
