Trans hero Dreamer joins Fortnite in its Rainbow Royale Pride event

Perfect.

Fortnite’s second annual Rainbow Royale Pride event is on now and offers up the chance to secure Dreamer, a DC Comics transgender superhero.

Dreamer, or Nia Nal, debuted in the CW’s Arrowverse as part of Season 4 of Supergirl. She will hold the honour of being Fortnite‘s first transgender character.

“Dreamer from Supergirl Joins Fortnite,” Epic said in a new video, below. “Dreamer has the ability to channel powerful dream energy and see visions of the future — no one stands in her way as she literally lives her dream and strives to protect the world from the foreseen dangers of the future!”

Dreamer can be obtained through a Zero Build Squads tournament before becoming available inside the Fortnite Item Shop. Players can also take advantage of free Pride-themed cosmetics as part of the larger event.

Fortnite is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch. It’s also available on iOS, Android and PC via cloud-based streaming.

We incorrectly stated Dreamer was DC Comics’ first transgender hero in a previous version of this article. This has been corrected.
