Tetris Effect for PSVR is Sony’s first pre-E3 announcement

Tetris Effect is Sony’s first of three big pre-E3 game announcements.

Available on PS4 with PlayStation VR support, you can watch the game’s announcement trailer below:

“Tetris Effect is coming to PS4 with PSVR support this autumn,” PlayStation Europe proclaimed alongside the trailer. A demo will be available ahead of the game’s launch, Sony also confirmed.

Announcements like this have replaced Sony’s traditional pre-E3 livestream, usually held immediately before Sony’s E3 2018 press conference. In the case of Tetris Effect, we applaud Sony’s decision to get this game out of the way early.

Sony’s remaining pre-E3 announcements are as follows:

  • 1.00 am AEST, 8 June: Release date for announced game
  • 1.00 am AEST, 9 June: New PS4 game announcement
  • 1.00 am AEST, 10 June: New PS VR game announcement
  • 1.00 am AEST, 11 June: Available game gets PS VR support announcement

Are we being too hard on another Tetris game? Are you hyped for it?

Tetris Effect heads to PlayStation VR and PS4 later this year.
