Geoff Keighley steps it up.
Summer Game Fest 2023 will be a hybrid event with digital and in-person components, directly competing with the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) and E3 2023.
Host Geoff Keighley made the announcement at the end of this year’s digital showcase, saying that the hybrid event will “bring the gaming community together.”
The revelation comes after the ESA cancelled all E3 2022 events back in April of this year. Keighley stepped down as host of E3’s Coliseum event ahead of the announcement. The ESA has already confirmed that E3 2023 will be back as a hybrid event itself.
Keighley will also remain as host and organiser of August’s Gamescom Opening Night Live and December’s The Game Awards.
Today’s Summer Game Fest 2022 digital showcase announced titles like The Last of Us Part 1, Aliens Dark Descent, Stormgate and more.
