Street Fighter V’s ridiculous ads have been removed

Street Fighter V‘s ridiculous in-game ads have been removed.

The ads, which were used to spruik the Capcom Pro Tour, were removed from the game shortly after the conclusion of the Pro Tour itself on 16 December.

“We value and thank our community for providing feedback on the new Sponsored Content feature added to Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition this week,” Street Fighter Series Producer Yoshinori Ono said on Twitter.

While the ads are gone for now, it’s likely they may return.

‘We will continue collecting everyone’s feedback to consider how we can improve this new feature for players in the future,” Ono added.

Street Fighter V is available on Windows PC and PS4.
