Starfield gameplay has gotten a glow up since the last time we saw it

(Thankfully.)

Starfield gameplay was shown off at the Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase and thankfully looks a lot better than the last time we saw it.

We’re talking an improvement across the board, not just in visuals, but in combat (that frankly looked janky as hell before).

“In the year 2330, humanity has ventured beyond our solar system, settling new planets, and living as a spacefaring people. You will join Constellation – the last group of space explorers seeking rare artifacts throughout the galaxy – and navigate the vast expanse of space,” Bethesda said alongside the new trailer (and the Starfield Direct, which is also below).

“Along the way you will join in the adventures of various factions; pilot and customize your own ship; explore planets and discover their local flora, fauna, and resources; build outposts; and master a refined combat system to deal with threats of all kinds.”

Update: Bethesda has confirmed with IGN that Starfield will be locked to 30 frames-per-second (FPS) on console; it’ll run at native 4K on Xbox Series X and 1440p on Xbox Series S.

Starfield heads to Windows PC, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X on 6 September.
