Star Trek Prodigy finds new home at Netflix

They made it so.

Star Trek Prodigy has been saved by Netflix after being unceremoniously dumped by Paramount Plus.

The animated series’ first season will be able to be streamed on Netflix later this year, with new episodes as part of Season 2 dropping in 2024.

“Thank you to our incredible Star Trek: Prodigy fans, who championed not just a show, but a community that’s always been connected by the belief that we build a better future together,” said developers Dan and Kevin Hageman alongside Star Trek head Alex Kurtzman.

“We set out to inspire you, but you inspired us,” they continued. “The team is still hard at work on the second season, and we can’t wait to share it with the amazing fans around the world.”

Season 2 of Prodigy continues on from the first — obviously — and continues to strengthen ties to Star Trek Voyager. If you’ve not seen it, we highly recommend it.

We’ll let you know when you can watch Star Trek Prodigy on Netflix.
