Spider-Man Miles Morales update adds new suit, muscle deformation

The Advanced Tech Suit looks ace.

Spider-Man Miles Morales will receive an update today that adds a new Advanced Tech Suit alongside realistic muscle deformation in select outfits.

First, you can check out the Advanced Tech Suit above. The suit will either be free or earnable via in-game actions — a stark contrast to today’s news that Avengers will offer up MCU skins through real-world payments only.

“Rolling out today, our new… update adds the Advanced Tech Suit and includes various fixes,” Insomniac Games said on Twitter. “Additionally on PS5 only, the update adds realistic muscle deformation on select suits.”

If you’re unfamiliar with muscle deformation, it’s something largely only seen in CGI for feature films. Essentially, Insomniac has produced a more lifelike, realistic Miles Morales, whose muscles will now simulate movement whilst in action. As a result, Spider-Man’s muscles and clothing will act more lifelike than before.

Spider-Man Miles Morales is currently available on PS4 and PS5.
